Ontario Waterpower Association
The Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA) provides a collective voice advocating for the Ontario waterpower industry. The OWA aims to:
- preserve and grow value for its membership
- facilitate the responsible growth and enhance the competitiveness of the industry
- coordinate and promote the common interests of the membership
- promote the achievement of sustainable development, and
- build strategic relationships with government, aboriginal organizations, industry resource management associations and the environmental community
The Ontario Waterpower Association strives to be recognized as the primary source for quality information about waterpower. We are working with government agencies on a number of provincial policy initiatives including environmental assessment, dam safety and public safety around dams, new waterpower development, water resource management and energy procurement.
