Energy at Dalhousie
Energy at Dalhousie coordinates and maximizes opportunities for collaborative energy-related research and education. The interdisciplinary approach to research, education and external partnering represents a focused virtual research and educational unit.
Our mission: to conduct interdisciplinary research into conventional and renewable energy sources and their impact on the environment, economy, and society.
Our vision: to be a leading academic institution for energy research and education working in collaboration with industry and institutional partners within Nova Scotia, the Atlantic region, and beyond.
Energy at Dalhousie:
- Ensures sustained leadership, communication, and coordination of energy sector activities across the University community;
- Establishes relationships and develops strategic alliances with corporations, government agencies, and other academic institutions in the energy sector;
- Facilitates interdisciplinary research programs;
- Coordinates strategic requests for infrastructure and research capacity; and
- Advances education and co-op opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate level.
