Crude Oil
There are three ways to produce conventional crude oil
| Primary recovery uses an oil reservoir’s own pressure or simple pumps to bring the oil to surface. | Secondary recovery involves injecting water or natural gas to maintain reservoir pressure. | Tertiary recovery involves more complicated methods to make the oil flow, like miscible flooding, which uses natural gas to reduce surface tension and viscosity. | ||
